Premier Party

7:01 AM 0 Comments
Do you ever have those days that make you so blessed to be alive? Well, I hope you have-because I had one of those days this past weekend! It was my first Premier Rally and as I was on my way up to Sacramento, I was a little nervous and not sure what to expect. But as I walked into the Grand Ballroom where our rally was being held, I was instantly overwhelmed. There were 600 screaming women-literally 600 screaming women-who were so decked out in bling and just looked so happy to be there. Even though there was blaring music and crazy women, I didn't feel intimidated at all and I had a feeling it was going to be a great day.

The day consisted of trainings on how to grow your business, how to form lasting relationships with your hostesses, but mostly it was empowering us to be not just better women for our business, it was empowering us to be better women for the world. Premier is deeply rooted in the Bible, and to hear scriptures about how God has a plan for us and wants the best for us, it was such a great reminder about how awesome our God is. It was really cool to not only learn more about the company but to have such inspiring women share their stories about how God was working in their life and how He has a plan for me.

now if that doesn't inspire you, i don't know what will

I need to take the time to brag about my Premier Mama for a second. Her name is Karen Heston, and she is a firecracker, and I love her. She has been selling Premier for 10 years and is a complete rockstar. She has taught me so much and is just such a light to be around and makes everyone around her happy. Now that's a pretty special person if you ask me.

my premier mama-isn't she gorg?!
my premier sister angela and my mama karen
But the highlight of the day was the unveiling of our new Spring Collection. Picture this: 600 women, who are obsessed with bling, flocking to various tables to get a view of the new line. Good luck trying to squeeze in there, those women were like vultures, they needed to get their looksies and no one was going to get in their way! I kid, but seriously, everyone was so excited. It was so fun being surrounded by so many people who were excited and passionate about the same thing.

how cute is that display?!

i am completely mildly obsessed with this watch

the earrings on the right are made out of real shells

love love LOVE this turquoise necklace!
Throughout the day, they were raffling off prizes, such as $100 in jewelry, $250 in jewelry, free registration for our National Rally in Texas, a half line of the new jewelry (heck yeah!) and the FULL LINE of the new jewelry collection!! They saved the last two for the very end of the day. Because the full line was a giveaway of over $2,000, they decided to create as much suspense as possible. So they had all 600 of us stand up and listen for our number, and once it wasn't yours, you were to sit down until there was one person standing. As they read the first number, I was like, "cool, I have that number," second number, "huh, I have that number too," once they read the third number and it matched mine, my palms became sweaty and butterflies instantly appeared. Before I knew it, they had finished reading all of the numbers, and in a room full of 600 people, I was the only one standing…..I WON!!!!!! I had won the FULL LINE OF OUR SPRING COLLECTION!!!! Karen and Angela were sitting right next to me and freeeeeeeeaked out! So I ran up to the front of the room as the women on the aisles were high fiving me and they handed me a giant box of goodies. I could not believe it, it was such a fun and exciting surprise and made me very thankful.

that is pure excitement right there folks
After leaving the rally feeling so empowered and inspired, I came home to a wonderful surprise from my future hubby. Not only had he cooked a yummy dinner, he had also gone out, framed, and hung a gift that we received at our Engagement Party that I have been meaning to hang but haven't gotten around to it. It was such a nice surprise to know that he was thinking about me while I was gone and wanted to do something for me. It was a perfect end to such a great day, and I went to sleep that night feeling so grateful and blessed.

i mean, how cute is this?!

the hubs did good

Now that you know I have the full Spring Line of jewelry, you know who to call if you want to be hooked up with FREE BLING!!! I hope this post finds you all happy, healthy, and feeling blessed. Happy Friday friends, and have a fabulous weekend!!!

Worship Wednesday

7:33 AM 0 Comments
My Sunday was amaaaaazing. It was full of the Lord, family, love, and new beginnings, and I am so grateful for what this day brought me. I have been really diving in to my new church home now that I have put down permanent roots in Benicia, and I couldn't be any more blessed. All week long I count down the days until Sunday mornings (and now Wednesday evenings since I've joined a community group which has been AWESOME) so I can go and worship and grow my relationship with Jesus, and I feel as if God has really been working inside of me in such a way I've never experienced before. A few weeks ago, our Pastor informed us they would be conducting baptisms and I felt as if God was really laying this on my heart. So after some thought, I made the decision to be baptized, and it was an AMAZING experience!

After talking with our Pastor about the process, he informed me that he would like me to share my testimony, and at first this made me a little nervous. I felt as if I didn't have an AHA moment to write about, I had never hit rock bottom and had to work my way back from something, my life has always been pretty normal and I have been one blessed woman. But Pastor Ken told me that I didn't need to worry about it, that my story with Jesus was the best story I could ever have because it was mine. So I sat down and really had the chance to look at my relationship with God and write about my story. It was really cathartic, and eye opening, all of the things God has navigated me through, to get me where I am today. Taking this next step into discipleship and really growing my relationship with Jesus is something I am so excited to continue.

I was lucky enough to have my wonderful fiancé, my parents, and my future in laws come to church with me today to support me and it was fantastic. As I stood in the tank of water, with my Pastor by my side, with my church family looking on in support, as I gave my testimony, I became overcome with emotion towards the end as I felt God wrapping his arms around me telling me that this was a huge step, that He was going to be with me for the rest of my life. And I tell you, I sure feel like a changed woman. It was amazing to be in a room so full of love for Christ, I felt it enveloping me as Pastor Ken lowered me into the water. I came out a new woman, and new follower of Jesus Christ, and I can't tell you how blessed I am.

Here is my testimony if you care to read my story :)

My Story

Good Morning. My name is Kendra and I’ve been a member of the Northgate Family since May and I am so grateful to have found my church home.  A few weeks back, Pastor Ken spoke of what baptism means, that it is a beginning point and not an end goal. I felt as if God was speaking directly to me and really laid this on my heart.

I grew up in the church, but my view of it was having to get up early on Sunday mornings, wear really uncomfortable clothing, and sing songs that I didn’t understand. As I got older, I began to become really serious about playing sports, and my Sundays now consisted of early morning soccer games rather than going to church. It became really easy to prioritize the other aspects of my life ahead of God, and at 16, I felt I didn’t need God’s help.

But as I got older, graduated, went off to college, started to grow up, that’s when God really started working inside me. While I was in college, I checked out a couple of churches, became part of an all girls bible study, but was still struggling with my walk. As I was trying to find my roots with Jesus, I always found myself comparing my relationship with Him with other’s outward relationship with Him and I just never felt good enough. I always felt that He was with me,  but I didn’t really know or understand what it meant to walk through each day with Him so often times I would cast God aside because it felt as if I was failing.

It wasn’t until recently that some big life changes happened in my life, God was talking to me and I finally started to listen.  I met a wonderful man and became engaged, I made the difficult decision to leave my job and embark on a new career, and before I knew it, the next chapter of life was unfolding right in front of me. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, I knew the only one who could get me through the rest of my life was God.

So I stumbled upon Northgate, and the people, the staff, the atmosphere, just made me feel like I had finally found my place in God’s kingdom and I really began to understand what that means. I have been actively walking with God each morning in my own quiet time, have been attending church on Sunday and just recently joined a Community Group here at Northgate. It is amazing how fast my relationship and walk with God has changed and since I’ve put my full faith in Jesus, I feel as if I am finally complete. No life struggle seems too overwhelming and as I take each step with Him, I have this overpowering  sense of peace that no matter what happens, He is leading me, showering me with His grace and I am never alone. I am so excited to be taking this next step into discipleship and to publically declare my faith to Him, and I am so excited to see where this never-ending walk will take me.

Worship Wednesday

9:09 AM 0 Comments

God is good, plain and simple. I will be the first to admit that I was a complete mess really shaken up after the earthquake on Sunday morning. I thought that I could get through it by staying busy and just trying not to think about it anymore, and by doing that, I would be fine and not be so scared. Two nights ago I thought I was totally fine, only to be awoken in the early morning by a 4.0 after shock. I instantly rolled over and clung to Mike, and the racing heart and complete sense of fear took over again.

But when I opened my daily devotional that morning, I was amazed at how God was working right in front of me. I opened up to yesterdays date and this is what God said to me: “Your inner calm-your peace in my presence-need not be shaken by what is going on around you. Instead of desperately striving to maintain order and control in your little world, relax and remember that circumstances cannot touch my peace.” It just blew my mind that after 48 hours of being so scared and feeling so helpless, that I open my bible and God wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in to Him.

In all honesty, my walk with God is something that I work on everyday, and some days are easier than others. It is so easy to push Him away, and the stubborn in me tells me I can do things on my own, but I can’t. This quake was a complete wake up call to me, and God was right there with me the whole time, telling me to let go of my worries and fears and give them all to Him. There is no better feeling than knowing that you can let go of all of your pain, fear, resentment, hurt, and He will willingly take it from you because he loves us that much. Sometimes thinking about God’s greatness can be overwhelming, and too good to be true, but as soon as I pray and I see His work, a sense of calm washes over me and I instantly feel at peace.

As terrifying as this quake experience was, it has brought me closer to Him. He flat out told me that I am not in control (which lets be real, I always like to feel like I am in control), and to trust Him and He will take care of me. I will gladly throw up my hands and say “alrighty Lord, I’ll let you handle it and take care of the millions of people who are coming to you. Go do yo thang!” I will undoubtedly stray away and will have to come back to Him, but He will always be there waiting for me with open arms. But God, next time, can you please just send me a smaller reminder, rather than a 6.0 quake? Thankyouverymuch!
