You guys. 11 months. 11! That means this time next month my baby will be ONE years old. Excuse me while I go ball my eyes out. This month has been plagued with sickness unfortunately. Miles had his double ear infection, followed by a nasty cold, that led to yet ANOTHER ear infection, then a few days after he got cleared of that, he came down with the flu. Which let me tell you, was not fun in the least bit. It is heartbreaking when your little isn't feeling well and there isn't much you can do for them. So we spent a lot of the day snuggling, which this mama won't argue with.
Something I want to remember that was really sweet this month: Usually at night after we do our bedtime routine, I give him his bottle right before I put him down to bed. After he's done, he usually turns right towards me knowing we are going to stand up to go to his crib. But one night, after he was done with his bottle, he just laid there on my chest, so I started to rub his tummy, then he grabbed my thumb and held on and we just sat there for a few minutes. I was definitely sending up some thankful prayers to God thanking Him for this greatest joy and those quick and quiet moments.
Another moment I want to remember this month happened a couple times while we were driving. I have a light blanket tucked into the window where his car seat is to keep the sun out (because all of the dang sun shades I have tried fail to keep the sun out-curses!), and Miles thought it was hilarious to pull the blanket in front of his face, then move it, and when we said peek a boo, he would lose his mind laughing. So he proceeded to play a game of peek a boo in the car with himself for quite awhile, it was awesome.
